Windows and Mac users: Many computers connect to shared drives (such as alphabetically titled drives on Windows (for example, an H:\ drive), or a networked share on Mac OS X) that use files.umn.edu, sometimes known as Active Directory Shares. The information stored here will not be available during the outage period. The maintenance is being performed in order to increase capacity and improve the infrastructure. The date and time were selected as it was determined to be the least disruptive for most users. If you know that you will need access to the files and folders you store on a shared drive on Aug. 16 between 6 a.m. and noon, please make arrangements to save the files in another location.
