WiFi Connections with UofM Secure and Eduroam on Mac OS 10.10 (Yosemite) After upgrading the MAC OS 10.10 (Yosemite) some users have experienced trouble with campus WiFi connections with UofM Secure and Eduroam. This issue seems to be a common issue with the upgrade nationwide and there are several support groups commenting about these issues. Most users on campus have resolved this by deleting both WiFi networks from the MAC system and then re-connecting and re-learning the networks. OIT Network Engineers continue to work with Apple to find a resolution to this issue.

The "Secure Connection" issue you have experienced with PeopleSoft 8.9 is a browser compatibility issue between the 8.9 version of PeopleSoft and Firefox 37.0.1. If you would like to continue to use Firefox with PeopleSoft (EFS, HRSS, Student,) please downgrade to version 35.x. Otherwise, Microsoft Internet Explorer or Google Chrome should also work fine. Keep in mind that all PeopleSoft 8.9 instances are now read only. Testing has shown that Firefox 37.0.1 works with the soon to be released 9.x instances of PeopleSoft (which will be released Monday 4/20). Thank you for your cooperation with this browser restriction.

On March 3rd, a new issue occurred for most of the Google apps users affecting Group notifications. Messages sent to Owners were delivered to Managers as well. The issue was fixed already - however, as a side effect of moderated message notifications are sent to Owners and not to Managers. Although there isn't official information regarding the specific scope of affected customers, the issue was reproduced by Google apps for work support on all test accounts. There isn't currently an ETA provided by the internal team - however issue is priority 1 and should be resolved promptly. Please accept our apologies for this issue!

University staff are on site to work with local Rochester city engineers to identify the location of the break.
